The Light of Nyumbani

Eli Simon and Ethan Krueger are producing a documentary documenting the journey of a Congolese refugee who uses theater to heal from violence. The film focuses on the founder of the Nyumbani Bukavu Theatre in Congo, highlighting how performance art helps individuals recover from past trauma. A trailer for the documentary was well-received in Minneapolis in December 2025.

Resource Rural

Paul Benson had talked about the possibility of opening Benson and Turner Foods with Doyle Turner for almost eight years. The best friends, living on the White Earth Reservation in northwestern Minnesota, had hoped to improve the availability of local meat to their rural community, make processing more accessible to small producers in the area and ultimately give the local economy a boost.
